Janice Holemon

Church Administrator

Janice grew up in Northport, Alabama. She worked in the banking industry for 13 years in Northport. She and her husband, Gary have been in Demopolis since 1994. They have two boys, Bill and Wesley. Janice began working at FUMC in 1998 as Children’s Director. She is now the Church Administrator. Janice attended Emory University where she received her Church Administrator Certification in 2015.

Jennifer Jordan

Youth Director

Jennifer joined our staff as the Children’s Director in 2011. Originally from North Alabama, she and her family have lived in Demopolis since 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Belmont University and a Master of Business Administration from Mercer University in Atlanta, GA, but her passion has always been children. She is married to Lee, who grew up in our church. They have two awesome daughters, Sara and Mary and one beagle, Brody.

 

Dr. Bonnie Rice

Music Director

Dr. Bonnie J. Rice is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Theology and Church Music from Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, Alabama. She then graduated from The University of Alabama with a Master’s degree in Music. In December of 2018, Dr. Bonnie received a doctoral degree in Musical Arts from Alabama and plays piano, organ, cello, and guitar frequently performs cello with the Starkville Symphony Orchestra in Starkville, Mississippi, and other regional orchestras. Aside from work and teaching, She enjoys the outdoors, her Bichon Frise, Birx, and football.

Desie Dubose

Custodian

Leodesie Dubose (Desie) grew up in the Philippines where she graduated from Caraga State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.  She moved to the United States in 2014 with her husband, Maurice. She and her husband have one son, Maurice Jr, (MJ).  Desie has been on staff since March of 2017. On January 24, 2020 Desie was sworn in as an American citizen in Montgomery, Alabama.
