Pastor Larry grew up in Huntsville, Alabama. His life was forever changed at age 16 when Jesus became his Lord and Savior. A group of adults in his home church mentored him in the faith. He attended Martin College in Pulaski, Tennessee and graduated from Asbury College and Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. While in seminary, he met his wife of thirty-four years, Linda. God has blessed them with three adult children and two grandchildren. Pastor Larry has served local churches throughout the Alabama-West Florida Annual Conference. His passion is to see people come to know Jesus, become His disciples, and experience the abundant life He alone provides!
Janice grew up in Northport, Alabama. She worked in the banking industry for 13 years in Northport. She and her husband, Gary have been in Demopolis for 23 years. They have two boys, Bill and Wesley. Janice started work at FUMC 19 years ago as Children’s Director. She is now the Church Administrator. Janice attended Emory University where she received her Church Administrator Certification in 2015.
Jenny grew up in Birmingham, Alabama where she graduated from Erwin High School. She attended Jacksonville State University. Jenny joined our staff in 2004. She is married to Johnny who is the Associate Pastor, and Minister of Outreach and Senior Adults at Linden Baptist Church in Linden, AL. They have one son, Jason, who is married to Kayla and lives in Gallion.
Jennifer joined our staff as the Children’s Director in 2011. Originally from North Alabama, she and her family have lived in Demopolis since 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Belmont University and a Master of Business Administration from Mercer University in Atlanta, GA, but her passion has always been children. She is married to Lee, who grew up in our church. They have two awesome daughters, Sara and Mary and two beagles, Tess and Brody.
Bonnie J. Rice is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Theology and Church Music from Southeastern Bible College. She then graduated from the University of Alabama with a Master’s degree in Music. In December 2018, Bonnie received a doctoral degree in Musical Arts from Alabama. Bonnie plays piano, organ, violin, and cello and frequently performs cello with the Starkville Symphony Orchestra in Starkville, Mississippi, and other regional orchestras. Aside from work and teaching, Bonnie enjoys the outdoors and Alabama football.
Leodesie Dubose (Desie) grew up in the Philippines where she graduated from Caraga State University with a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education. She moved to the United States in 2014 with her husband Maurice. She and her husband have a son, Maurice Jr, (MJ). Desie has been on staff since March of 2017.
